Wychwood Riot Recoil Compact Retractable Rods | 2 Rod Bundle

Wychwood Riot Recoil Compact Retractable Rods | 2 Rod Bundle

The Wychwood Riot Recoil Compact Retractable Rods | 2 Rod Bundle gives you two versatile compact carp rods designed to deliver the performance of conventional carp rods without the transport problems associated with traditional two-piece 12ft models.

Built around Wychwood's innovative Recoil telescopic butt section, the rods collapse down to a significantly reduced transport length, making them ideal for anglers with smaller cars, those travelling on public transport or anyone looking for a compact rod setup that's quick and convenient to take fishing.

The Riot Recoil range has been designed around opportunist carp fishing. Whether you're fitting in a quick session before or after work, keeping tackle permanently ready in the car or travelling to venues where conventional rods are inconvenient, the compact design makes getting on the bank considerably easier.

Despite their reduced packed dimensions, performance remains at the heart of the design. A high-modulus 24T carbon blank, ULW casting-efficient guides, Anti-Frap tip guides and dedicated playing and casting actions provide the characteristics required for serious carp fishing.

A robust DPS reel seat, Japanese full shrink-wrapped handle and machined 1K carbon line clip complete a modern compact rod package designed to cover a wide variety of fishing situations.

With two Wychwood Riot Recoil rods included in this bundle, it's an excellent option for anglers looking to build a compact two-rod carp fishing setup.

Two-Rod Bundle

This bundle includes two Wychwood Riot Recoil Compact Retractable Rods, providing a ready-made pair for anglers looking to create a compact two-rod setup.

A matching pair is particularly useful for mobile fishing, short sessions and venues where carrying a conventional three-rod setup isn't necessary.

It also provides an excellent solution for anglers looking to reduce the overall size of their tackle without sacrificing the ability to fish effectively with two rods.

Recoil Telescopic Butt Sections

The defining feature of the Riot Recoil range is the telescopic butt section.

This allows the rod to retract to a significantly shorter transport length than a conventional two-piece carp rod.

Once extended for fishing, the design provides the length and functionality required from a modern carp rod while allowing the complete setup to pack down into a much more manageable format after the session.

Compact Transportation

Traditional two-piece 12ft carp rods can be inconvenient to transport, particularly in smaller modern vehicles.

The reduced packed dimensions of the Riot Recoil range make them much easier to fit into city cars and compact vehicles, while also providing a more practical option for anglers travelling by public transport.

For anglers with limited storage space at home, the compact format also makes the rods easier to store between sessions.

Perfect for Opportunist Carp Fishing

The Riot Recoil concept is particularly well suited to anglers who take advantage of shorter fishing opportunities.

Rather than requiring a full conventional setup every time you want to fish, the compact rods can be transported easily and kept ready for quick sessions.

Whether that's a few hours after work, a short morning session or even making use of spare time during the day, the Recoil design helps make spontaneous fishing considerably more practical.

High-Modulus 24T Carbon Blank

At the heart of each Riot Recoil is a high-modulus 24T carbon blank.

The blank construction provides the foundation for the rod's casting and fish-playing characteristics while maintaining the slim, modern profile expected from contemporary carp rods.

The range incorporates dedicated actions according to the individual rod specification, allowing anglers to select the model best suited to their style of fishing.

Dedicated Casting & Playing Actions

Compact dimensions don't mean the Riot Recoil rods are limited to close-range fishing.

The range has been designed with dedicated casting and playing actions, providing the performance required for both presenting rigs and controlling carp.

Different length and test curve options within the range allow the Recoil concept to cover a variety of fishing situations rather than being restricted to one particular style.

ULW Casting-Efficient Guides

The rods feature ULW casting-efficient guides, helping maintain an efficient line path during the cast.

The 9ft models feature a 40mm guide configuration, while the guide setup has been selected to complement the performance characteristics of the different rods within the range.

Anti-Frap Tip Guide

An Anti-Frap tip guide helps reduce the possibility of line becoming wrapped around the tip section during casting.

This is particularly useful during more powerful casts, where clean line flow and reliable tackle performance become increasingly important.

Robust DPS Reel Seat

A dependable DPS reel seat securely holds your chosen carp reel in position.

The proven design provides the strength and reliability required for regular carp fishing while complementing the understated styling of the Riot Recoil range.

Japanese Full Shrink-Wrapped Handle

The rods are finished with a Japanese full shrink-wrapped handle, providing a comfortable and secure grip.

The full shrink finish creates a clean, modern appearance while providing practical grip during both casting and fish playing.

Machined 1K Carbon Line Clip

A machined 1K carbon line clip provides a dedicated point for securing the mainline when fishing with slack or semi-slack lines.

The carbon construction also adds a premium finishing detail to the overall rod design.

Multiple Length & Test Curve Options

The Riot Recoil range has deliberately been developed with different lengths, test curves and actions to cover a broad variety of carp fishing situations.

This allows anglers to select a compact setup suited to their own venue and fishing style rather than accepting a one-size-fits-all retractable rod.

10ft 4lb Option

For anglers requiring additional power, the 10ft 4lb version provides a particularly versatile option.

Its additional power makes it suitable for longer-range boat fishing, where controlling rigs and leads from a boat can place different demands on the rod.

It is also an ideal choice for medium spod work, adding further versatility to the compact Recoil range.

Why Choose the Wychwood Riot Recoil Compact Retractable Rods | 2 Rod Bundle?

The Wychwood Riot Recoil Compact Retractable Rods | 2 Rod Bundle is ideal for anglers who want to reduce the transportation size of their tackle without giving up the performance expected from a dedicated carp rod.

The innovative Recoil telescopic butt sections significantly reduce packed length, making the rods easier to transport in smaller vehicles, carry on public transport and store between sessions.

Once on the bank, high-modulus 24T carbon blanks, ULW guides, Anti-Frap tips and dedicated playing and casting actions provide the performance required for serious carp fishing.

Finished with robust DPS reel seats, Japanese full shrink handles and machined 1K carbon line clips, the Riot Recoil combines compact convenience with a comprehensive carp rod specification.

With two rods included, this bundle provides an excellent foundation for a highly portable two-rod setup that's ready for everything from quick opportunist sessions to more conventional carp fishing.
