50mm High-Density Foam Protection

At the heart of the Solar SP C-Tech Flat Mat | Standard is its substantial 50mm high-density foam mattress.

This thick protective base provides excellent cushioning, helping protect carp from contact with hard or uneven bankside surfaces during unhooking and fish handling.

The high-density foam construction offers a supportive surface, making it particularly useful when handling valuable specimen carp.

For anglers who place fish care at the forefront of their fishing, the generous mattress thickness is a major advantage.

Robust Padded Sidewalls

Unlike a basic flat unhooking mat, the Solar SP C-Tech Flat Mat incorporates padded sidewalls designed to provide additional protection around the fish.

The robust construction helps create a more protective handling area, reducing the risk of direct contact with surrounding ground surfaces.

The sidewalls also contribute to the mat's overall durability, making it suitable for regular use throughout the fishing season.

As with all fish care equipment, carp should always be supervised while on the mat.

Removable Inner Mat – Two Mats in One

One of the most practical features is the removable inner mat, which can be used independently as a standalone flat unhooking mat.

This provides excellent versatility, allowing anglers to choose between the complete padded sidewall arrangement and a more traditional flat mat setup.

Whether you're adapting your equipment to different swims or simply prefer a separate handling surface for certain situations, the removable inner mat adds useful flexibility.

It's an excellent feature for anglers who appreciate multi-purpose fishing equipment.

Innovative Fold-Flat Design

Despite its substantial protective construction, the Solar SP C-Tech Flat Mat has been designed with convenient transportation in mind.

The fold-flat design allows the mat to pack down compactly, reducing the amount of space required in your vehicle, barrow or storage area.

This makes it particularly appealing to anglers who want premium fish protection without carrying an unnecessarily bulky unhooking mat.

Zipped Sidewalls for Quick Setup

The mat features zipped sidewalls, allowing it to transition between its protective setup and compact folded configuration.

This practical design helps make assembly and pack-down quick and straightforward.

The zipped construction also contributes to the mat's ability to fold flat, providing a useful balance between bankside protection and transport convenience.

Reinforced C-Tech Webbing

For improved strength and longevity, the mat incorporates reinforced C-Tech webbing throughout.

This additional reinforcement helps support the overall structure and improves durability in areas exposed to regular handling and transportation.

It's another premium finishing detail that makes the SP C-Tech Flat Mat suitable for demanding bankside use.

Dura-Flex Pack-Away Buckles

The Solar SP C-Tech Flat Mat features premium Dura-Flex pack-away buckles, designed to keep the mat securely fastened when folded.

These robust buckles make transportation and storage more convenient by helping maintain a compact packed configuration.

They're particularly useful when loading equipment onto a barrow or storing the mat alongside other fishing luggage.

Quick-Release Shoulder Strap

The included shoulder strap attaches using quick-release clips, providing a convenient hands-free carrying option.

This is particularly useful when transporting multiple items to your swim or moving equipment around the fishery.

The quick-release attachment system also allows the strap to be removed when it isn't required.

Attachable Dual Carry Handles

In addition to the shoulder strap, the mat features attachable dual carry handles.

These provide an alternative carrying method, allowing anglers to choose the most convenient option depending on their setup.

Whether carrying the mat by hand or over the shoulder, the versatile transport system makes moving between swims more manageable.

Rubberised Mesh Drainage Base

The rubberised mesh base is designed to provide effective drainage during use.

This is particularly beneficial when keeping the mat wet for fish care, allowing excess water to drain away rather than collecting unnecessarily.

The drainage design contributes to a practical, easy-to-manage fish handling area during regular bankside use.

Premium SP C-Tech Camo Detailing

Finished with distinctive SP C-Tech camo material detailing, the mat complements Solar's premium range of fishing equipment.

The understated camouflage styling pairs particularly well with matching Solar luggage, chairs, bedchairs and other fish care accessories.

Designed for Responsible Carp Care

Proper fish care is essential when handling carp, particularly larger specimens.

The combination of a 50mm high-density foam mattress, padded sidewalls and removable inner mat provides a versatile protective surface for bankside handling.

Always thoroughly wet the mat before placing a fish onto it, keep the fish supported and supervised, and return it to the water as quickly and safely as possible.

The Standard mat should also be checked for suitability against the size of fish being targeted and any specific fishery requirements.

Why Choose the Solar SP C-Tech Flat Mat | Standard?

The Solar SP C-Tech Flat Mat | Standard offers an outstanding combination of fish protection, practical design and convenient transportation.

Its substantial 50mm high-density foam mattress provides excellent cushioning, while the robust padded sidewalls offer additional protection during fish handling.

The removable inner mat adds versatility by doubling as a standalone flat unhooking mat, effectively providing two fish care configurations in one product.

For transportation, the clever fold-flat design, zipped sidewalls, reinforced C-Tech webbing and Dura-Flex buckles allow the mat to pack away securely and compactly.

Combined with a rubberised mesh drainage base, quick-release shoulder strap and attachable dual carry handles, this is a premium fish care solution designed for serious carp anglers.
