The Solar SP C-Tech Retention Sling XL is purpose-built for the safe retention, handling, and weighing of larger carp, combining outstanding buoyancy, rugged construction, and advanced fish-care features. Designed to meet the expectations of modern specimen anglers, the XL version offers increased length while maintaining the same uncompromising standards of safety, strength, and ease of use.

At the core of the sling is a reinforced, tempered aluminium main bar, engineered to deliver exceptional durability and long-term reliability. The ultra-buoyant floating design ensures the sling remains securely on the surface, providing confidence and control when retaining fish prior to weighing or photography.

Strength and usability are enhanced through durable, reinforced webbing straps, alongside reinforced carry handles and a dedicated weigh strap. Integrated sling alignment eyelets ensure the sling sits perfectly balanced on the scales, allowing for accurate and consistent weight readings every time. For increased visibility during night sessions or low-light conditions, the sling features reflective bar markers and a 5-metre reflective retention cord, improving safety and peace of mind on the bank.

Fish welfare remains a key priority in the C-Tech design. The sling is lined with a super-soft, fish-friendly inner coating that helps protect the carp’s skin and scales during retention. Strategically positioned meshed sections promote excellent water and airflow through the sling, supporting oxygenation and reducing stress while the fish is safely held.

Access and security are managed via Easy-Slide zips, allowing smooth and controlled operation even with wet hands. A built-in Houdini clip provides an additional layer of security, preventing accidental zip opening, while the extended zip layout improves the ease and safety of releasing fish back into the water with minimal handling.

For clean and convenient transport, the Solar SP C-Tech Retention Sling XL is supplied with a welded stink bag, keeping odours and moisture contained after use. With a long XL length of 130cm, the sling is ideally suited to accommodating larger specimens, while a standard 110cm option is also available for anglers requiring a more compact size.
