Although the traditional German rig is best suited to bottom baits or wafters, offering excellent hooking capabilities. You can also add a pop up to this rig and fish it Ronnie style as well. Utilising the Jel-E-Wyre Stiff for the German means you can choose to have a stiff boomed Ronnie & likewise if you are after a softer boom then pick up the Ronnie Rig instead and that can also be fished German style as well. The best of both worlds!
