Sleek, stealthy, and uncompromising, every inch has been meticulously refined with all-black fittings, clone reel seats, black hoods, and acetile components. Each rod is finished with subtle black detailing above the logo, with the ‘XX’ insignia discreetly placed behind the reel seat on abbreviated versions or beneath the handle on full-handle models — a mark of heritage and innovation combined.
At its core lies the legendary Hi-S blank, crafted from low-resin, 40t high-modulus carbon wrapped in a beautiful 1k weave finish. By dramatically reducing resin content, Free Spirit has achieved a slimmer, lighter, yet more powerful blank — one that delivers razor-sharp recovery, explosive casting potential, and unrivalled strength.
From the formidable Hi S 220, built for long-range domination, to the responsive 12ft 3.5lb model offering sublime playing action — this range covers every angler, every style, and every scenario. Each rod is hand-built in the UK to exacting standards — featuring 50mm butt guides, a 16mm tip eye, and isotope slots in the reel seat for precision night work.

Hutchy Build
The Hi S Hutchy Build which has been designed by casting legend Mark Hutchinson. These rods feature the same striking cosmetics as the rest of the Hi S range, but with the butt ring and other intermediates whipped slightly higher up on the blank, a slightly longer than normal handle for increased casting leverage and a 'Hutch Spec' logo. They also feature a Kigan anti frap tip guide which are notorious for their unique design and durability, making this rod an absolute weapon in the right hands.
