Bristol Docks Evening Series 7/3/13

Bristol Docks Evening Series 7/3/13

1 min read
Last nights match there was signs of the smaller fish feeding and the general fishing getting better, as the weather slowly warms up, lets hope the cold weather forecast for next week doesn't happen. Last weeks match, only bream fed, but this week the mild breeze and clear water meant more fish were beginning to feed, could this be the start of spring!!!

Top rod on the night was Andy Curry with 8lb 9oz which was made up of 1 bream and 4 skimmers caught on a ground bait feeder with maggot on the hook. Second was Pete Sivell with 2 bream for 6lb 12oz. Third on the night was Dave Clutterbuck with 5 skimmers and a dace for 5lb 9oz, Fourth was John Macey with 3lb 2oz made up of a single bream and Pete Ellis caught 1 skimmer for 1lb 6oz to secure fifth spot.

At the moment all the fish are being caught on a ground bait feeder with maggot on the hook, but as the weather starts to warm up, more and more fish will be caught on the pole in the coming weeks.

So are the docks open in the closed season, and therefore classed as canal?

The docks are open all year round and classed as a stillwater
