Bristol Docks Evening Series 24/11/13

Last nights match saw the docks at its best, lots and lots of roach, all caught on the 6m line. Only 3lb seperated the top 6.

Top rod on the night was Pete Ellis with 10lb 2oz of quality roach, using hemp and caster. Second was Andy Curry with 9lb 11oz, he included a 3lb mullet in his catch, the mullet took a caster and gave a brilliant scrap.

Third was match organiser Dave Clutterbuck, with 9lb 10oz all roach and John Macey had 8lb 5oz for fourth. Pete Sivell caught 7lb 6oz for fifth and Dave Shore also caught a 1.5lb mullet in his 7lb 3oz catch, which was sixth.

Baltic Wharf has been fishing brilliant for roach the last month, with catches up to 25lb, as long as the weather stays mild the roach sport should continue. When the weather does go cold all the fish seem to leave this area of the docks and move nearer the city centre.
